The REFLEX Mechanical Hitch is a mid-line attachable device!  Designed to offer precise friction control, with a gradual release of friction, the REFLEX combines the familiarity of a hitch cord-controlled descent with the versatility of a mid-line attachable mechanical device.

The REFLEX body is fitted with a safety-lock swing-frame and L-shaped links, which means that the rope can be inserted into the body and then helically wound around and into (rather than threaded through) each link. The top link is fitted with. a latch which keeps the rope securely captivated, within the links during use.

Mid-line attachment is beneficial as it means that climbers don’t have to pull an entire length of rope through the device in order to install/remove rope at the beginning of, or at any point during, their climb.  This is especially useful when using rope with bulky termination labelling, that would otherwise have to be cut off, removing the rope identification/traceability information.
