When 90%, elemental sulfur is applied to soils it is attacked by soil micro-organisms to form sulfuric acid. This sulfuric acid in turn supplies the sulfate ion which is taken up by the plant. The acidifying effect of sulfur oxidation in the soil lowers the soil pH and allows uptake of soil nutrients and particularly iron. Packaged in 50 lb. bags.
